My Story<\/h2>\n

I am the founder of Rise Up For Health. I have been a naturopathic doctor in Newmarket since 1998. After graduating from Queen\u2019s University in 1994 with an honours degree in biology I persued my love of health and nutrition at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.<\/p>\n

My passion has been working with women\u2019s health issues.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the dramatic importance of the mind \/ body connection really came into focus. Being exposed to the benefits of hypnosis with both my pregnancies and seeing the benefits on many aspects of my life I decided to take additional training as a consulting hypnotist. For good measure I also took training as a Hypnobirthing Childbirth educator. Over the years I have\u00a0 taught many women and their partners to use hypnosis during pregnancy and labour to achieve a calm, gentle birth, regardless of the circumstances. I believe this is the foundation of health. If we help our children start out in the best way possible it improves their health and the health of all of us.<\/p>\n
